Though I was growing up as kg Child. The food and clothing were class.As long i lived in Village house the best simple living environment. home grown,fruits and vegeies were Consuming. At age 40 ,I was selected to pursue degree in Iium. my first sem in first year was in Temgku Ampuan Afzan Teachers training College. I was thwre one 1 sem. during the full pay and daiky 10 riggit allowance fir attebdancw. Due to the Distance and tra sportation problem. I requested to.minitries Ofgicial to be place in KLIPBA so I can ajqays visut my famy, tnats my school going childrem and hubby.. Ipba in.Lembah Pantai is the Teacher Training Institut that opens its door to Asia Pacific Countries lecturers a nd English Teachers.During my study year, here once met Asia pacific Teachers. My younger sister inlaws though had a preuni educated sister inlaw, being the not botbered , ignorant, unempethethic , selfish Oldest girl in the family, unable to guide ,asssist her younger Siblings who hv been repeating form five in private school. My job and the humam v beings i met, I realize how different the parents hv been. Even the uneducated mothers wants the best for their daughters. My self being the briliant student, raised by wrong hands, who used me since my teenage days as a maid. The older sister who suppose to Provide a learning f environment, expect me to take care of her kids, same with.my older brothers. Form four, the only one frm my class, to join tne ACS clan group. Being a stra ger, in my clas among the wel taken care sthdebts by their parents. Tne only one dkinny sbd frahe gking to.school emty stomach. buy 30 cebts pisang goreng and eat.Back frm,school , strsit to garden, oluck young coconut frm short tree, drink.tbe water duri g lunch n fir dnetgy, then.start to cook fir mom n susterunch, dimole soup, or dry fish sambal n rice. buy 20 cents dry fish frm nearby grocessary shop. fry it, add cjilli piwder and onions , add little salt n tamarind juice, to the gravy n heat it. after my brorher back frm school he adds white rice with, dry fish sambal and eats his lunch.At times white rice with fried tapioca. After having mealK, take our goats fir grazing in tbe rubber estate at back of our house. I take along the boiled rice water,as light meal.The goats I tied to the trees with long rope, i sat under a tree and started to read my school text book of Geography or history which I take with me . Every half an hour the goats are changed the grazing spots, so they can continuesly get to eat the ferns and weeds. when i feel,hungry I drink the boiled rice water.Time is precious and too many task, need to be completed in limited time, so, I utilise my time wisely as quality time. We had a jack fruit tree which bears juicy sweet fruits . The flesh ,I used to make sweet Payasam. tbe seeds are coiked in curry n est with white rice. Most of tge times we ate the fruits flesh. At times tbe boiked seeds are eaten as evening snack . i was vv avtive abd enegetic those days. very easily i could complete long distanst run.I was state runner in form 4 easily daily i train.4 km.with my neighbour n chiltdhood class mate .

Age 14 the tesr my ekdest suster married abd moved with her husbabd almost 3 km dusrance frm our hiuse. jyst my sekf, amma abd yiubgest suster,were in.tne hiuse. 2 nd susrervwas viduting us onky on satyrday n Dunday. after school, at least twice a week, me , amma abd my you gest suster wlked to my.eldest sisters house thru, Rubber plantation, Thsts the shirt cut to akkas hiuse, on. our joyrnet we cross small natural springs. wevwash our face abd drink the fresh wster frm.the soring abd co tinue our walk. in slmost 45 minits we teached akkas house. Akka mixed ciffe fur us n.mahe some local kueh. befure narried, sge was the Chef of our famiky, non stop cooking for all of us delicious meals daily , my class mates and neighbours childdren, who ever visits our home gets to eat freshly cooked meals. after two hours spent in akkas hiuse, me, amma and youngest sister syarts our journey back home. bybthe time we reach home its nearing to dark. our wirkd was very smalk, because all the brorhers were away workimg in.out station. the 3rd brither n fourth brother , both in firm.4 n form.5. 1989, the new ERA in my life. My name was referred as Mrs. My first listing to southern Perak as. Trained Teacher in a Town school nearby my hubbys. Office. A good Samaritan as an education officer/ Tamil School inspector helped me upon my request and placed me in this town school which had around 400 students. In one year the number of students increased to 500 students . Continuesly fir 4 years I was appointed as. Class Teacher, the main Teacher for lower forms , Teaching Tamil,.Art's,PE, Drama , musicj. Curriculum.I was an athletic Coach at the same time. This same year, in 6 month one of my Colique got married n moved to Cameron Highlands. She was Teaching POL Tamil in a Seckubdry school on Friday afternoons. Upon her yes ever , I applied a d was selected to Teach POL in that school. A dedicated a d caring man was Teaching in that school art , PE and Tamil was the advisor of the Tamil subject n students . He was the main person for POzl.subject. A very soft spoken, well mannered , decent Teacher. I was teaching in that school POL Subject for two months in the afternoon on Fridays . Several times he told me softly, teacher you are still very young, old join university n.oursue degree course, our Community need people like you. Only an educated girl can mould and nurture good younger generations. Men only help their family. Women being the changers of Culture and designers of the Community His wording n utterances were meaning ful and made me to think . No one advice me or told me to join university other than my 4 th brother who introduced University of London's external program to me. Which I applied and unable to.pursue due to family commitments n insufficient expences which were beyond my income..

A Special Spiritual Trip in 90ies

Year 1997 was an unforgetable year , the reason. I joined the Hindu Yathra trip Organized by the youth association of Teachers group. In this group Several husband and wife Team, n pairs joined and then several secondry School boys, brought their , muslim and Christian friends al ong. I was asked by one of my collique and the most senior man in this group to join this yathra of 3 days. Friday, Saturday and Sunday visiting the Northern states Hindu Temples. Our stay was in a Ashramam.known as Lakshmi Dyana Ashramam in Lunas Kedah. an Ex English Teacher started this Ashramam, on his mothers land. Countless of Secoundry school boys were staying in this ashram and most of these boys are from problem families.Our journey started early morning in southern Perak. Our breakfast was at Pillayar Temple in Taiping. idli ,Tosai with Chuttni Vegetarian.meals Sponsored by Temple Cimmitte.members. Brwakfast and lunch on the first day served at Tw Temples we.were visiting. Dinner and early.morning breakfast was prepated by the Swamiji of the Ashram we stayed. Very clean and beautiful Ashramam it was. late breakfast, lunch and Tea were served at the Temples we were visiting. This spiritual journey of 3 days has given.me a very beautiful experience and, gave mw a chance to check my self self , family life and about my kids their family .their future.

One of the unexpected and not planned visit in year 2008 was ,to Tamil Nadu. The place I was visiting was a rural place , isolated away frm.towns and the modern, life. The ambasadar taxi we were travelling in went thru coconut plantations, banana farms, vegetable farms padddy feilds, Sugarcane plantation, turmetic farms, curry leaves farms. canals were everywhere bedside the roads. The coconuts trees were carrying loads of coconuts in bunches, but much smaller in size. in my house my coconut tree has only 6 to 8 big coconuts in its bunches.But the Coconut trees I saw in rural Tamil nadu has heavier bunches with 20 over coconuts , smaller size in every bunches. The Car was moving very slowly, we reach the school which gave admisdion to my daughter around 5.30 in tbe evening. The taxi fare was several thousabd rupees. Since we are not local n I wore Chudithar, this dress code is sometjingbweird in.Villages, even the school kids age 10 above wear half saree. the local young woman wear saree. So our aperance was a plus point to the taximan to make money by chargung very high amount.. The Schools director asked us how we ma naged to reach school. We told him we paid several thousand rupees n travelled in taxi, He said, the bustation not far from tbe airport, you could hv save alot if take the bus, that reeach our village, and stops infront our School. b

Growing up in Village and tsating the Authenthic meals prepared by older sisters fur us, all tne family members is something Common on daiky basis. out of tbis , my second suster used to cook, sweet oats Porridge fir all of us in a larve pot, add Coconut milk and pandan leaves. The most delicious Porridge i tasted duri g my cjikdhood days. otber than, Oats porridge, urughaal porridge one of the sweet porridge my suster used to preoared on evenings , at leadt once a week. urudhaal, is siaked and pounded in granite stone, grinder, traditional way. Me n mynyoubger suster as kids, were realky taken care by the older sisters lime theu own chimdrem, good food, and good dresses stitched by my older sisters. It was a real childhood life full of joy and and only play, learning and reading non stop. I was told bybthe Education , officer inchargebof Primary schools, that I should help Principle.The students were mostly from that estate it self. vety daring, quickearning learners, Only they did not get , loving.caring and Compassionate Teachers. few upowr class girls were, naughty and behaved like College students. One girl and One boy, I cant forget due to their family environmemt. The boy used to be akwsys in clean shining school Uniform. The girl had white pearly Teeth. This girks mom, daily prepared fried noodles, and fried Chicken and brought to school. sgecwire gold necklace, huge earing avd gold bangjes , wore her husbands, shirt and pants. After give me the food, told me the name of her daughter n asked me to pass it to her daughter. She with smiling face, spoke to me politely and, started to walked around the temple. This is something wrong ,I realized she has lost her sense. The daughter told me , that her mom,not well.Ibtold the girl, a mom whether sick or not sick,only her children being important in their life.,Thats why sge brings the food she prepared by her self for her daughter. Oneday before Teachers day celeberation, I asked the students what they like to eat. One boy told me, Teacher Cook for us some hot n spicy Vadai. The next morning I prepared hot dhal vadai with lots of hot green Chillies and sweet green beans fried balls. The kids enjoyed the sweet and hot kuihs I prepared for them especially, on Teachers day. My culture ,give beautiful and heartfelt memories to the Kids in.our Working environment.

Begining of the year 1990ies. One close relative girl,after Completing form 5 started working and living a happy ,joyfull life. Her married Sister was not happy seeing her happy sister working and earning and attends office functions. This Sister, took her sisters salary and spent as she likes. The excuse she gave her sister was, she was paying the tution fee of her Children. Not only her sisters salary. Her fatbers pension also she took n spent as she likes.Asjed her brother to bsnk infur her ,saying bandly need money and bought handphone for her daughters. These girls were not guided to cook, or perform any duty in tbe house. So the girls had countless of friends, all males. This was the time ,problem started when their boy frieds disturbed them.at odd hours, which the mother found out, but hide frm.their dad. dad foumd out the daughters hv bern chstting with guys much older than them at Odd hours, he warn the girls, they poked ld their mother. The mother started to argue with her husbabd. The argument turned as fight. The next day tbe husbabd was hit by a lorry n died on tbe spot. Hit n run. This was something unacceltable when tbevwife a d chiksren created a drama, telling rhe fatver was in coma for one week and died in hospital aftet the accident.. All tbe vrelatives were i furmed abt rhe accidebt but the husbabd is still in Cima, so everyo e got a chance to visit him,n tbevwife xan artange money for the husbabds funeral. His chain was morgaged and tbey gad cash in habd for the funeral. Turning point in any ones life comes as a surprise at any age.At age 40 I was given,a Choice when I applied PKG Program, thru Ministry of Education.Though 1 year earlier, I applied in UPSI and attended Interview, I was dissapointed, because I was not selected, the reason , I was Over qualified to be in that Program. Countless of locals and those who hv been Teaching around the Uni were Selected and started their training,in one month. After 6 months,I was offered to join a twining program by Ministry of Education. I accepted the offer. first year in Kuala Lipis, Pahang. Only 3 months I was in Lipis, Teachers Training College The same year April. I joined IPBA in KL at Lembah Pantai. one year, half pay.first sem, we were given College hostel. 3 rd month we were asked to moved out, the reason, we are adult students, mostly married n hv children.Several were young ,in.mid 20 ies, mid 30ies married and hv Children. All the undergrads were provided Conducive Single room hostel, shared same dorm with International students. My batch 80 percent were traveling from their home to attend lecture. Studyingnin Ipba was my Chice, because , easiky I can travel to my hiuse several days, so my kids can see me freequantly, n theybwontbbe missing me. almost six months I was traveling frm KL to my my house, very early morning and reach home , late evening, unable to focus in my cource work. So two semesters my marks droped. I had to re do two assignments.. Tjis has caused my marks abd cgpas droped. So my first year study, with minimum, points. So Ibworked reaky gard and mansged to get almost all the subjects B+ n 1 or 2 subjectb C. 2 A + my KOKO and BM kerjaya. My foreign Masters student, Amira from Sudan, helped to checked my work and edited, my assignments. My lunch hours , were mostly having meals or sharing ideas or having Conversation with Professors from Africa. These Afrucan Prifesdir mostly Teach, Islamic Civilization, Fiqh, Usuluddin. The Students frm Afrucan Ckybtrues aee the Elite group of students. Their fathers were Rich Merchants, Head Of the Nation, Governar of their Country, Retired Armys Governar General. East African Shared sane features like south Indians. Their food, attire all resemble South Indians.

This term will best suit my 4th Sisterinlaw who is 2 years younger than me. The reason why I use this term on her, is because. with a two month old Son, She was taking care of me n my baby girl who was born, when her son was 2n half months baby.Fully baby sit by the grandma.
